Skipping with Joy

Branches in a lake

Radnor Reflections, March 2, 2011

I saw these branches skipping across the water at Radnor this week. William, and all of his family were doing some skipping of our own yesterday. After a loooong basketball season where his team lost every game, usually by a whoppingly lopsided score, yesterday, after losing the first game of the tournament 20 to 4 at 12:00, they came back to the second game at 4:00 to WIN! They made 10 points, 8 of which were William’s. I don’t know the other team’s score as I didn’t go to the second game. I simply couldn’t take another one, watching William getting more frustrated. His frustration turned into something positive, because by 4:00 he was a man on a mission. One more game today. I will be there. William didn’t give up. I shouldn’t have either.
