Wire haired griffon

Radnor Reflections, April 28, 2011

I got back to Radnor this morning after the terrible storms and tornadoes moved across the South yesterday. Water was running down the hills everywhere, and we had to climb over a tree that had fallen over the trail, but otherwise we didn’t see any damage. I heard Radnor named on a news storm track last night, but since my neighborhood was on the same track, I got very busy putting the little boys who were staying with me in the tub with pillows over their heads. The tornado missed us, and I think it missed Radnor, too. It was a terrible day for others. Devastating.

Cholo, a wire haired griffon, was unconcerned about any storms when we met him and his owner walking on the road. I’d like to to say I had special charms that put the alert look on his face, but he was looking for the geese that were flying overhead honking.
