Appendaged Waterleaf

Wildflower

Radnor Reflections, April 29, 2011

The storms didn’t beat down the translucent Appendaged Waterleaf. Its name doesn’t seem to fit such a pretty flower, but maybe the water part of the name is the key. We found it blooming in puddles by the road and in the watery mess the beavers’ industry has created. There’s always the chance that I have misidentified it, of course, and I’m grateful for corrections.
