Asters

Radnor Reflections, October 12, 2011

It wasn’t on this shot, but on the one right after, when I leaned over the split rail fence as far as I could to take a close-up of one of the blossoms, that the rail did what its name says it will do and split in half!! I’m glad no one was there to take a picture of the picture taker. I went in to the visitor’s center and ‘fessed up to the red headed ranger. She said not to worry, they would take care of it, and actually asked if I was OK. Tomorrow I will post the close-up.  It’s not bad considering the camera shake!

  1. What a beautiful group shot! I love this color nearly as much as emerald for gazing at to rest me abused orbs. Tired from trying to sort too many slides by looking at a slide sorter tray with a 15-watt Hallowe’en pumpkin bulb in it to substitute for its missing 60 watt bulb. sigh
    Cheers!

    • Thanks, Pete. Emerald and Amethyst. The words alone call up beauty, even without seeing the actual colors. Although the 15 watt pumpkin bulb is seasonally appropriate, you might want to send a goblin or two to the lightbulb store. What passes for a 60 watter these days, however, might not do the trick, so treat yourself to at least a 100 watter.
