Pond in a Lake

Lakescape

Radnor Reflections, October 21, 2011

Algae patterns on the lake change shape almost hourly at this time of year. This photo of a shape that looks like a pond within the lake was taken just above the spillway. If any water were going over the spillway, the pond would be drained, but the lake is low from lack of rain.

  1. Man, that algae is persistent! It does look like a pond, but I’d be uhappy walking across the “shore” around it to get to the water. Hope the rains perk up a bit and rinse some of that Dijon mustard-and-olive oil greeny-yellow away .

Neat example of the changing face of the waters.
    Cheers!
