The bright autumn colors are spectacular, but the winter’s muted artistry is equally appealing.

Sycamore Spin
I take lots of pictures of a particular sycamore that hangs out over the lake, maybe because one day I think it’s going to go the final distance and fall right into the water. This time I gave the camera a spin while pressing the shutter. There are certain people who pass my computer who still cling to a desire for realism in photography. Their opinion is duly acknowledged. It is so clear to me that this is a sycamore branch with autumn leaves suspended over water, but maybe you had to be there.
Happy Veterans Day, Mr. Realism.
Fire Eater
Fall color turned out to be spectacular, just two weeks or so later than last year. Radnor fosters the beauty of patience.
Shoreline in Autumn
Sometimes I look around Radnor and think there just isn’t any color this fall, but then I see this!
Sycamore
I love everything about the Sycamore tree, the shape, the bark, the leaves, the little fruits that look like ornaments, and the fact that it is growing at Radnor and not in my yard making a mess and outgrowing the spot where it was planted.
Polar Autumn
A colorful autumn tree with the Photoshop Polar Distortion filter applied.
Defined
I’m glad I walk with observant Deers, or I would have stepped on this interesting leaf. Observant Deer says that after wearing an ankle brace for four weeks from falling on the trail, one watches where one is walking, but her “seeing” power was already extraordinarily well defined.
Invading the Green
Every single day we walk in October, there is more color in the green.
The Scream by Edvard Chipmunch
There’s more to Radnor than wildflowers, deer and Canada geese. The area nurtures native artistic sensibilities as well!
